New 45 Out Now - Gloria Scott - Promised Land - Acid Jazz 45

A most recent release from Acid Jazz, a great version of the stone-cold Joe Smooth 1987 house classic, Promised Land.

Label release notes below

Acid Jazz proudly announces the signing of veteran US soul singer Gloria Scott, with a digital single and upcoming 7” vinyl release.
Discovered as a recording artist by Sly Stone, before working in Ike and Tina Turner’s backing vocal group 'The Ikettes’, Gloria Scott went on to record classic, collectible soul records, collaborating extensively with Barry White. Tracks included '(A Case Of) Too Much Love Makin’' from the album 'What Am I Gonna Do?’ (1974)

Her collaboration with Acid Jazz starts with a cover of Gospel-House classic ‘Promised Land’ as a single on digital platforms on 1 June and upcoming 7” vinyl with exclusive instrumental B-Side.
