HR 1552 BONNIE BLANCHARD and ANDY AARON – You’re The Only One + A Real Good Lovin’ Man / . Right On Time

A side – WONDERFUL 1970 CROSSOVER DANCER from Philadelphia, sounds just right for today - we all know that this used to be a soulpack record, I’ve put them in there myself – but that was 50 or so years ago, now it’s a £600 minter. As a

bonus our A side contains her other 45 – quite rare and decent in itself.

B side – Right On Time – a delicious funk instrumental, still sounds great today even though the frenzied days of funk digging seem to be a thing of the past; solid drum break.

HR 1553 GEORGE SOULE – Midnight Affair / Cross My Heart

Coupling of 2 great Muscle Shoals sides, both on their 1st time commercial release on 45.

A – Midnight Affair – a Rick Hall-Dan Penn song, Fame recording, previously available only as a 100 Club Anniversary 45 in 2011. Great 1974 Crossover dance, also cut by the wonderful Sandra Wright.

AA - Cross My Heart – a 1970 cut at Muscle Shoals Sound, known from the MSS Publishing Test Pressing that I found around 20 years ago and sold to Soul Sam; a handful of further copies later came to light and increased considerably in valuation, but one still to get proper recognition. Also recorded in Muscle Shoals by Tamiko Jones.
