THE IMPRESSIONS and The Curtom Orchestra - Live in Concert

Originally formed in 1958 in Chicago, USA the group started out singing Doo-Wop, Gospel & Soul ansd featured Sam Gooden, Richard Brooks, Arthur Brooks, Jerry Butler & Curtis Mayfield. By 1962 both Jerry Butler and the Brookses had departed. Fred Cash joined the group and they signed to ABC / Paramount Records. Curtis Mayfield left the group in 1970 to launch his solo career. His replacements in The Impressions included Leroy Hutson, Nate Evans and Ralph Johnson amongst others.
The Impressions have been inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame and are best known for their hits "People Get Ready", "You've been Cheating", "Gypsy Woman", "It's all right", "Keep on Pushing", "We're a winner", "Choice of Colors", "Keep on Moving" & "For your precious Love".
Recently the group have signed with Daptone Records, home of Sharon Jones & th Dap-Kings, Charles Bradley and more and released a 45 "Rhythm!" produced by Binky Griptite from the Dap-Kings.
Tonight will be the first show in London since their sold out date at the Barbican where the band played their first ever London show. The Impressions will be backed by The Curtom Orchestra who will also play a separate set featuring the work of Curtis Mayfield.
