Am sure some of you out there may remember a fairly active thread a few months ago here on Soul Source about this project.
Well time moves on and here pushed out amongst all the summer going ons is words on the end result.
Firstly a clip of a news item from the NME website which has the main meat...
"NME snapper Dean Chalkley is set to open a photographic exhibition and screen a short film based on Northern Soul in London later this month.
The exhibition, entitled Young Souls, takes place in Kingly Court's Youth Club from July 21 until August 4.
Explaining the concept behind his self-funded project, Chalkley said: "I didn't set out to create the definitive story of Northern Soul, but I did aim to celebrate it.
The photographic aspect is a study focusing on the current burgeoning generation of young people getting into the scene, whereas the film brings the atmosphere and wonder of Northern Soul to life."
