Our aim is a proper old school soul do in the Bournemouth/Poole area again. In the "Spirit of the Uni' is a nod towards Dave's old club nights at Bournemouth Uni - so if you went to them and were disappointed when the accommodation was re-developed and they ended, come and lend us a hand in building upon (and improving) the foundations laid a few years back.  Loads of things going on locally, but none really bring in out of area DJ's to keep it fresh and lift the bar musically to the levels other it and you deserve.
The only music policy is Original Vinyl Only - other than that the DJ's (residents Dave Morris; Steve Malpass; & Stuart Ross - plus carefully selected guests) can play what they like across the broad Soul Spectrum. I'm very much of the view "if you don't clear the floor at lest once in every set... you're not trying hard enough". BUT of course it's not about us - it's all about YOU. So if you're planning on coming along to get SOULcial with us and have any sensible requests - please let us know.

Venue is The Newtown, and we will be using the smaller room with split level bar/seating areas then a few steps down to the dance floor which will be 100% drinks fee and only used for what it is intended for... Loads of free parking round the back, and our own outside area for catching fresh air, smoky air, or just a cool off.
