Our aim is a proper old school soul do in the Bournemouth/Poole area again. In the "Spirit of the Uni' is a nod towards Dave's old club nights at Bournemouth Uni - so if you went to them and were disappointed when the accommodation was re-developed and they ended, come and lend us a hand in building upon (and improving) the foundations laid a few years back.  Loads of things going on locally, but none really bring in out of area DJ's to keep it fresh and lift the bar musically to the levels other it and you deserve.
The only music policy is Original Vinyl Only - other than that the DJ's (residents Dave Morris; Steve Malpass; & Stuart Ross - plus carefully selected guests) can play what they like across the broad Soul Spectrum. I'm very much of the view "if you don't clear the floor at lest once in every set... you're not trying hard enough". BUT of course it's not about us - it's all about YOU. So if you're planning on coming along to get SOULcial with us and have any sensible requests - please let us know.

Venue is The Newtown, and we will be using the smaller room with split level bar/seating areas then a few steps down to the dance floor which will be 100% drinks fee and only used for what it is intended for... Loads of free parking round the back, and our own outside area for catching fresh air, smoky air, or just a cool off.

We are looking forward to welcoming all you dancers to the magnificent Grand Pier in Weston Super Mare, it's a fantastic venue, amazing dance floor, and it is certain to be a sell out event...... with the finest Northern Soul, R & B, Motown and Modern Soul.....we are tried and tested at keeping the dance floors full by spinning our vinyl in the Soul Rooms at Scooter Rallies nationwide including SWSC National rally at Woolacombe, Exmouth, Weston & Weymouth plus Hayling, Teignmouth, Warmwell, Run From The Scum, Scootermaniacs weekend, Modrapheniacs Rally, Northern Soul Island, Soul on the Sea, Moorland Mayhem, Halfway House, Run to the Riviera, Camber Sands, Celtic Rally (France), Ireland, Spain, Meltdown in Germany, and fabulous Las Vegas - yeah baby......
OUR GUEST DJ's so far are, joining us for the first time the fabulous MICK LLOYD! Plus the amazing MARK DAVIS who has filled our floors many times before.

This event will have SIA Security on entrances and exits, so please put your wristband on as soon as you arrive at the venue, thank you.
