About The Event

Soul Brew are still planning on sticking to the third Friday of every month to avoid clashing with other events locally - here are a few details for our November jaunt at The Harold Club.🙂

The Harold's got it all - a warm welcome & fab, friendly atmosphere; great sound system; top-notch dance floor with absolutely no need at all for talc; bar prices at WMC rates; large car park & good transport links. We have request-friendly DJs, playing a healthy mix of favourite old stompers, rare & underplayed tunes plus some nice gritty old R&B dancers. All aimed firmly at the dance floor! 🕺💃🕺💃🕺💃

It's situated on the main road, with easy access from Chain Bar Roundabout & close to Low Moor train station. There's even a nice hotel (The Guide Post) less than 10 mins walk away for those who fancy making a weekend of it!

We tend to limit numbers to 120 max in order to make sure everyone has a seat & also a space on a not-too-crowded dance floor, so please be early to avoid disappointment.

    Here's a sample of the bar prices at The Harold (correct at the time of posting):-

    Tetley's/John Smith's....... 3.70

    Carling/Coors........ 4.00

    Fosters....... 3.90

    San Miguel...... 4.20

    Guinness........ 4.30

    Cider....... 3.60

    Not bad eh?

    NB - THIS LIST WAS QUOTED PRIOR TO THE BUDGET, SO MIGHT BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. THE HAROLD BAR PRICES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY GOOD THEREFORE ANY PRICE INCREASES WILL HAVE BEEN KEPT TO THE BAREST POSSIBLE MINIMUM.

    As per usual, Soul Brew will be playing a good mix of favourite old stompers, rare & underplayed with a nice bit of 60s R&B thrown in for good measure.......

    all played with the dancers in mind - BRING IT ON!!! :thumbup:

    Steve Sowerbutts - our favourite guest DJ - will be donating his fee for tonight to his charity fundraiser for prostate cancer & I will be rattling a bucket on the door for donations too. Good on you Steve - fingers crossed we manage to raise a decent amount for you - I'm sure The Harold Club regulars will do you proud! ❤️

    Thanks to everyone who came to The Harold Club for SoulBrew’s soul night- fantastic night with a real focus on oldies and stompers which kept the dancefloor buzzing all night. A massive shout out to Steve Sowerbutts who spun a cracking set- and donated his fee to Prostate Cancer UK. The total raised on the night was a brilliant £112.62. Thank you to everyone that came and supported and for your generosity. Very much appreciated.  #thesouliegrail #souliegrail

    And remember our Boxing night tickets - only £6 in advance. Grab them at our next gigs at Jeremy's at the Boat House on Thursday 4 and Sunday 8 December.
