I happened to hear Bernadette played the other day and the presenter said that the key had been set slightly high to stretch Levi's voice and put more anguish in it.

Just got me wondering if this was a common practice used by the writers/producers and might be another factor in the uniqueness of the Motown sound.

Or am I talking rubbish? whistling.gif
