Having seen him performing live last week, I can tell you that Bobby Brooks Hamilton is the living embodiment of his old man - Jackie Wilson - both visually and vocally.

His set at 'Rhythm Riot' was the highlight of the weekend for many. Unfortunately none of the clips of him doing Jackie's songs on YouTube do him full justice, as he's singing to synthy backing tracks on most of them . But here he is singing Tom Jones' "I'll Never Fall In Love Again" (a song that Jackie should have recorded!) to a collage of pictures which will show you that the family resemblance is uncanny:

...and here he is doing 'Lonely Teardrops' on German TV last year. The backing track is really rinkydink and the pic is very slightly out of sync with the soundtrack. But again, you get the idea.

...At 'Rhythm Riot' he did a set that was very geared towards Jackie's big records on the jiving scene ('Etcetera', 'Come Back To Me' , 'I'll Be Satisfied' etc) which makes me think that he could probably do the same with Jackie's Northern classics if booked to do a soul weekender...
