I'm going back in time and have reconstructed a series of monthly 'funk/soul chart' for the first half of the 1980s...I'm about 90% there, but am trying to find out specific months that certain records were big, plus of course any that i've overlooked.

Looking at what you've done so far, you'd do better getting old copies of Blues & Soul or Black Echoes. Both these publications had charts .-

1. Sales oriented (UK & US)

2. Club sounds and the d.j.'s spinning them
