Posted May 25, 201213 yr Hello everyone, I picked up some 45s last weekend, and one was a record I'd never seen. It's a white label promo for P.J. for (I've Given You) The Best Years Of My Life, V.I.P. 25062 from 1970. So, I have a few questions. I did a bit of online searching and didn't find what I was looking for. 1) Who the heck was P.J.? 2) Did this record make it past the promo stage? Many thanks!
May 25, 201213 yr P.J. = Patti Jerome Yes, it was issued on V.I.P. in '71 backed with "It Takes A Man To Teach A Woman How To Love" which also came out on Tamla as the the flip to TLC (Tender Loving Care) https://www.discogs.c...release=3352160 https://www.discogs.c...st=Patti Jerome She was the wife of Harry Balk who set up Detroit's Inferno & Impact labels amongst others. https://www.findagrav...e=gr&GRid=20952 Urban myth that she was Patti Jo of "Make Me Believe In You" fame. A whole write up on Facebook page .. https://www.facebook.com/notes/patti-jerome/discography/156662977709615 Edited May 26, 201213 yr by Dave Turner
Hello everyone,
I picked up some 45s last weekend, and one was a record I'd never seen.
