Visible Counter on eBay

Sorry if this is a tedious question but I've been thinking about it so I'll ask.......

When selling on eBay do you select an open counter so that all can see how many hits you've had....or not? What factors determine your choice?

I think that there's no truth about that.

Personally, i prefer having a counter in my sales to see if my auctions are well looked
