Jean Wells - Roll Up Your Sleeves, Come Out Loving - Drum Machine

I found Ace Records' Jean Wells Soul On Soul CD second hand over the weekend and enjoyed it except for "Roll Up Your Sleeves, Come Out Loving. It had drum machines, really bad backing instruments and was quite jarring considering the rest of the CD had proper drums, etc. I had to skip past it after 30 seconds of listening. Can anyone shed any light on this track? I am assuming it was a 80s production?
