in transition between moving into my new place on the first and staying with a friend who's roommate has decks. all of my records are still at the old place (if crazy ex-roommate hasnt done something unspeakable to them), and he has very little soul. a few motown lps that ive been playing tracks from all night:

Four Tops - Second Album (especially "Since Youve Been Gone")

Smokey & The Miracles - Make It Happen

Marvin Gaye - Greatest Hits

Temptations - Gettin Ready (especially "Its a Lonely World Without Your Love")

Ike & Tina - The Greatest Hits of ..,

and James Brown plays James Brown (i think i rather like this stuff as instrumentals)

anyhow, good times before going out to get a drink when my friend gets off of work.
