Looking through the storeage for items for my site came across this, picked up about 20 years ago in New York it is August & Deneen "cant get you out of my mind" on an audiodisc acetate.

Anyone know if it got a release? ABC?

NOT SURE BUT THEY HAD A RELEASE ON ABC 11082

WE GO TOGETHER../ CAN'T GET YOU OUT OF MY HEAD

I'VE GOT QUITE A FEW ACETATES AND SOMETIMES THE TITLE

HAS BEEN SLIGHTLY ALTERED WHEN IT'S BEEN PRESSED

AND RELEASED,,,,,,,,,,COULD BE THE CASE HERE, SOMETIMES THESE TYPED OR HAND-WRITTEN ACETATES HAVE BEEN WRITTEN QUICKLY AND THERE COULD BE A SIMPLE ERROR LIKE TRANSPOSING A WORD FOR ANOTHER, SO IT COULD BE AN ACETATE OF THE FLIP SIDE OF THE ABOVE. QUITE OFTEN BOTH SIDES OF A RELEASE TURN UP ON ACETATES AS ONE SIDED AUDIO-DISCS.......IF THAT MAKES SENSE..

your correct whoever wrote on the acetate put "cant get you out of my mind" also spelt name wrong auguist and denine

It never ceases to amaze me with these records of ours, the constant occurrences of total incompetence: labels reversed, wrong titles etc etc is it any wonder that they weren't hits??

Cant find my copy of august & deneen must have flogged it I hadn't realised this was the flip, der!
