Hello there. Has anybody ever heard of an artist called Preacher Caston?

I was given a mix by a friend several years ago and the best song on the mix was a tune called Love Is The Message (no relation to the MFSB of the same name). It's gospel, but with an early disco flavour, possibly recorded sometime between 1972-1975, hard to say exactly when. I've done searches and looked all over for someone called Preacher Caston and I've never come across him, so I'm wondering whether the artist name might be wrong.... The song title is sung over and over in the tune, so I'm guessing that's correct. The vocal's reminiscent of Bobby Womack.

Any help appreciated. I've asked around the usual suspects but no one seems to know him.

Hi,

Never heard Preacher Caston could be real could be cover-up?

Sure it wasn't My Message Is Love?

Hi Tenyu, no it's definitely Love Is The Message. I've got it on a CD-R but I've never seen the actual 45 and the guy who recorded it for me sold his collection... I strongly suspect it came from Beatin' Rhythm since this guy was always shopping in there.

Hi Tanga, are you really indestructable  Im sure i can prove other wise

Its like putting unbreakable on something i just cant help myself biggrin.gif
