Bobo Mr Soul — She’s my woman/Hitch hike to heartbreak road (Ovide) Ex £15
Absolutely stunning slice of down tempo soul. Listen to those vocals, powerful yet beautiful. A very contemporary sound very much in the vein Daptone/Truth & soul are recreating at present with Charles Bradley etc . If this was a new release everyone would be going nuts about it. It’s a killer thats just very slept on in my opinion and deserves some real attention. Give it a listen
8)
Charles Earland — One for scotty/I was made to love her (Prestige DJ promo) Ex £7.50
Smart Jazz mod 2 sider here : 2 sharp instrumental tunes as tight as a nut!
9)
Willis Jackson — Nuther’n like a thuther’n/Jive Samba (Prestige reissue) Ex £15
‘Nuther’n like a thuther’n’ is one of me fave Jazz mod tunes of all time, however this beauty was never released on a single (only available on his ‘More gravy’ LP) until 2011 when it was reissued by Prestige with ‘Jive Samba’ on the flip, now thats what I call a 2 sider. Needless to say it was limited and copies flew out. It’s now become very desirable, so I’m pleased to be able to offer 2 Mod Jazz masterpieces here... Enjoy
