1. Today's Man - MARK PUTNEY (Ovide)..............VG++........classy Northern mid-tempo dancer that was later taken up by Atlantic, but this the original release..................£30

2. I'm So Glad I Found You - LINDA JONES & THE WHATNAUTS (Stang).......Mint-.............Northern/Modern crossover dancer from around 1973, well-known tune that's far from over-worked...............£40

3. Love You From The Bottom Of My Heart / A Change Is Gonna Come - BUCKNER BROTHERS (Sanla)...........VG++..............two very good Northern sides with strong backings, the kind of single that's been around along time without huge success to it's name yet retains the ability to leave a big impression if played..................£45

4. I'm Not Ready For Love - PROMISE (New Direction)................Mint-..............1974 release spun for a good while at Blackpool Mecca.........................£55

5. Real Jive Guy - DEJAH ARES (Verve demo)...............Mint-.............celebrating Wigan Casino's 40th Anniversary this year, you might've forgot that this was high on that venue's playlist in those first few week's (yes, open every week!) of opening.................£90

6. Getting Used To The Blues - BOBBY BLAND (Duke)..................Mint-................treat for any DJ who likes to serve up real quality wherever he plays; this has to be one of Blandy's Best and will be a massive boost to any play list........................£30

7. You're Blowin' Holes In My Soul - JESSE JOHNSON (Stiletto).................VG++...........lovely intro to what then becomes an elegant Tyrone Davis-style mid-pacer.....................£20

8. Three Hundred And Sixty Five Days - DONALD HEIGHT (Shout).............Mint-................loud, proud and brassy, strong mid-tempo Northern Soul dancer that should be on every DJ's play list twelve months of the year!...............£15

9. Trypt On Love - WAKEFIELD SUN (MGM demo)....................seemed incredible in 1976/77 that a Northern Soul stormer should have Wakefield of all places in its name (are they from Yorkshire or what?) but there it was and swiftly became an all-nighter classic.....................£30

10. Rode By The Place (Where We Used To Stay) - DAVID RUFFIN (Motown)....................beautiful Modern Room dancer loved by many........................£40

11. Don't Hurt The One You Love - WILLIE PARKER (M-Pac)...............Mint-.............if grits ain't groceries, eggs ain't poultry and Mona Lisa was a man then this is nothing short of a Northern Soul must-have, pleasing in every way if you like your beats loud and fast..........£30

12. Standing On The Corner - WATSON & THE SHERLOCKS (Soulville)..............VG++.............this is proper Northern but with a real streetwise attitude taken at a pell-mell pace akin to the Wheel favourite "She's Lookin' Good", vocals are a complete blend of Wilson Pickett and Bobby Womack, tough and gritty from the heart of the city...............£35

13. Almost - JIMMY DELPHS (Karen).............VG++...................................£25

14. If This Is Heaven - ANN PEEBLES (Hi).............well-respected Modern spin and dancer's favourite...........£25

15. What You Gave Up - THE CONTINENTAL 4 (Jay-Walking)..............Mint-........well worth crossing the road for; if the musical quality denoted a record's price tag then this ought to be in three figures. A lovely bargain at..............£15

16. Don't Talk To Me About Love - JOAN REGAN (Columbia demo)............VG++....................smart blue-eyed Northern Soul dancer with big backing.................£20

17. I Still Care - VIRGIL MURRAY'S TOMORROW'S YESTERDAY (Kool Kat demo).................VG++................£85

Many thanks for looking through the list, cheers, Carl (Beatin' Rhythm).
