when/who reissued/booted the white promos?..i saw a few a while back on ebay all in the US, Ive a stock issue which seems to be rarer if popsike is anything to go by..an old VA-VA (Searling?) sound haven't heard it played in years..

It was booted in the US for the US "island scene" supposedly, for the flipside "false pride". Another thread on it somewhere here. Boots are on vinyl as opposed to the original on styrene, sound good too!

island scene..is that a reggae based scene..or soul with a reggae feel?

I honestly couldn't tell ya mate, I've seen the term tossed around on here a bit but never found what its actually in reference to. Maybe someone can chime in? Flip doesn't sound at all island-y to my ears.
