Please Can Anyone Id This Soul Song

Had this on a cd I made for the car 10 years ago and dunno why I just recorded 20 seconds of it but I did and now its doing my head in as to what it is esp as Ive grown to like it, must have the record but cant find it and god I looked. Any help gratefully received. cheers chris ps I made the tape from 45s.
