Sad To Hear

I have Al Wilkes, singer of the Monzas (Moon label) on my Facebook friends, and a friend has messaged for him, sad news and my thoughts are with him

 

 

Hey gang, just to bring everyone up to date regarding Coach Al Wilkes. A few days ago, Al had a below-the-knee amputation (on his left leg) and is currently in rehab at the Asbury Healthcare Center. He has always been a very active guy and a champion tennis player, so this hasn't been very easy for him to deal with. But, Al also has a courageous get-it-done attitude and he's taking this head-on with bravery.

I know that Coach Wilkes would be deeply touched by all his Facebook well-wishers and would gladly welcome a greeting, a phone call, or a visit.

His cell phone is 423-930-7478 and he is currently in Room 22 at Asbury (100 Netherland Lane / Kingsport / 423-245-0360). Thank you, everyone!
