Hi, Soul Lovers.

                         Hope all's well with you and a grand weekend is coming your way; here's a list of Northern and Modern Soul sevens for sale. If you see anything here that you'd like to buy then please send a Reply.

1. This Town's Too Much - THE MIGHTY MARVELLOWS (ABC)............VG++.................this one's a full-on Northern Soul dancer, strong-paced nice production....................£20

2. (They Call Me) Jessie James - THE DREAMS (D.C. Sound).................Mint-...............popular Twisted Wheel spin...............£15

3. (Do The) Discotheque - CHUBBY CHECKER (Parkway)..................VG++.................although we all know it's AT The Discotheque, in the first stage of release this copy got a mis-titled label put on it, bit of an oddity that may deem it collectable...................£30

4. Will You Wait - OTIS BROWN & BAND (Ole).....................VG++.....................£40

5. What Can A Man Do - BEN E. KING (Atco)...............Mint-..................can't rate this highly enough for you as, to me, it stands out as much as Ben's "Can't Break The News To Myself" does and deserves a place in anyone's starting line-up............................£30

6. Total Disaster / It Went To Your Head - RONNIE MILSAP (Warner Bros. demo)............Mint-......both sides of this great R&B/Northern dancer sound as if you could dedicate it to Roy's boys even though it was made in the same year that Brazil played Chile in the World Cup Final!......................quite a Rarity................£65

7. House Of Broken Hearts - HAL HARDY (Hollywood)..............Mint-........................£30

8. You Touched Me - JUDY HARRIS (Sun).............VG++.....................brilliant, storming Northern Soul dancer spun for a period (1976) by Richard Searling, may have gone big but for the constant flow of "monster discoveries" being unearthed..................£15

9.  A Bench In The Park - THE JIVE FIVE (United Artists).............Mint-.................fast-paced Northern Soul dancer that's got a summertime feel about it but has been on the side lines far too long and deserves to be played on merit, not just a squad member............£15

10. Your Love Is Getting Stronger - THE FOUR VOICES (Voice Records).........gold label........Mint-........................£55

11. Talk Don't Bother Me - THE PROPHETS (Delphi)...............VG++...................£75

12. I'll Never Stop Loving You / Shing A-Ling - CLYDIE KING (Minit)...............VG++.................£25

13. If I Didn't Have A Dime - THE FURYS (Liberty demo).................Mint-...............£30

14. What Am I Gonna Do - HARRY DEAL & THE GALAXIES (Eclipse).................Mint-..............£25

15. You Gave Me Somebody To Love - THE DREAM LOVERS (Warner Bros.).................VG++..........captivating Northern Soul Beat Ballad with huge backing, sounds so dramatic it might get repeated on the ITV Encore channel.................£20

16. Fabulous New York - JIMMY CASTOR (Jet Set demo)...............Mint-..................fantastic John Barry-like film score production to this charging Northern Soul all-action stunner, so very nice to see you once again Mr Bond.............£35

17. Happiest Girl In The World - PLUS 4 (Warner Bros.)...............VG++..............even if girl groups are not your bag you've got to admire the Northern backing to this cheerful dancer that appears on one of the three volumes of the "After Hours" CDs and on a rare green issue copy here...........................£40

18. Hold On A Little Longer / Don't Walk Away - CARL CARLTON (Back Beat)..........Mint-...........if you started collecting Back Beat label singles like you have your Motown stuff, you'd have some power under your bonnet in time to come! Two great dancer sides here with which you can't go wrong if you're a DJ......................£25

19. Wild Side - DENITA JAMES (Flip)..............Mint-.........................£75

20. Look At What I Almost Missed - PAT LEWIS (Solid Hit)..................VG++.......................Detroit Northern Soul at its very best indeed........................£30

21. You Don't Love Me No More - RENALDO DOMINO (Smash)..............VG++...............very under-played mid-tempo Northern Soul dancer that's certainly got the class but in previous years may have suffered from the "Not Rare Enough" virus...........................£30

22. If It Wasn't For Love - JIMMY BEE (20th Century)...............Mint-............what a belter this is, Northern Soul beat with the antics of Wilson Pickett thrown in, float like a butterfly if you want to but stinging like a Bee will please you more.............£65

23. Just In The Nick Of Time - TONI LAMARR (Buddah)........VG++.................a massive Wigan Casino favourite 1975/76 and will be remembered by many as being one of those great happy-go-lucky Northern dancers......................£20

Thank you very much indeed for looking at the list, enjoy your day.

Cheers, Carl.
