Top notch modern / stepper. This is the other, lesser known record by the guys with “Since I Found My Baby” — and it’s just as good, although obviously in a completely different style. The flip is a decent disco track.
W. Ray Johnson “Stretch Out Your Arms / Girl” (Harage) EX £250
Stunning 70s soul dancer on a super obscure Indiana release, with a dark edge and a searing vocalist. There’s a long lead-in, but it’s easy enough to cut straight to the track (as in the first clip). The lovely falsetto ballad on the flip is more like VG+ but it plays well. There’s also a slight dish not affecting play, and a little residue where a sticker once was on one side.
New Horizon “I Get That Feeling” (HQ) solid EX £300
This is the kind of obscure record that occupies the gaps in between funk, modern soul and crossover territories, giving it broad appeal and plenty of legs. A big-sounding, well-produced track with massive harmonies, and it just keeps building up & up.

Top notch modern / stepper. This is the other, lesser known record by the guys with “Since I Found My Baby” — and it’s just as good, although obviously in a completely different style. The flip is a decent disco track.

Flack And Company “Been Loving You So Long / Disc TNT” (Sun Dance) EX+ £250
Cool-but-deadly funky soul, with a flute-led version of “NT” on the flip. A strong double sider, that hardly ever turns up.
