I’ve made a change over to the US grading system on this list. Basically it just means that EX has become VG++ and EX+ has become “close to M-” since a lot of people outside of the UK seem not to trust the EX grade. Everything else including a conservative grading policy remains the same.

Please inquire to ruralconcourse@yahoo.com.

thanks,

George

Aura “Yesterday’s Love” (FMI) VG++ £250

Rare, little-known and well produced modern soul from Hawaii that packs a punch on a system.

Listen: https://concourserecords.co.uk/musicuploads/aura_yesterdayslove.mp3

New Horizon “Get That Feeling” (HQ Prod.) close to M- £400

Big sounding modern / funk, still somewhat undercover and with plenty of potential. Very, very faint lift not affecting play.

Listen: https://concourserecords.co.uk/musicuploads/newhorizon_iget.mp3

Night Winds Rebellion “Racial Segregation / Blast Off” (Kala) VG+ £250

Two incredible sides of unknown, ultra-rare islands funk. One side has a small label tear.

Listen: https://concourserecords.co.uk/musicuploads/nightwinds_racial.mp3

#2: https://concourserecords.co.uk/musicuploads/nightwinds_blastoff.mp3

The Living Example “What A Privilege” (The Living Example) VG+ £50

Excellent ‘70s sweet soul from Petersburg, Virginia. Recommended.

Soul Connection “Why Am I Supposed To Cry” (SoCon) M-warp nap £40

Excellent, lesser-known sweet soul out of Las Vegas. Funk flip with drum break (dish not affecting play, in favour of the sweet side).

#2: https://concourserecords.co.uk/musicuploads/soulconnection_funkyblues.mp3

Moovin’, Soothin’ & Stone Funk “You’ll Have To Pay / You’re All I Need” (Soul Sauce) VG £75

Raw and apocalyptic group funk stormer from Cincinnati OH. (Sweet flip has more tics so I’d call it VG-)
