As you're probably aware, Marvin Gaye's classic has been remixed...

David Ritz (who wrote "Divided Soul: The Life of Marvin Gaye" and co-composed "Sexual Healing" with Marvin Gaye and Odell Brown) puts his case forward for why the remix is better than the original.

Marvin wrote and recorded a song he called "Sanctified Pussy." The label "this time Columbia "changed it to "Sanctified Lady."

Yeh... I blame that Barry White fella. Gaye was working with him prior to his death. Heaven only knows what the working titles of "Savage in the Sack" and "Masochistic Beauty" were. :P
