Whilst playing an old Richard Searling  CFOS show, I was reminded about two " Motown" cover versions of the classics "You're gonna love my baby" & "Ain't too proud to beg".

I am fairly certain that this show occurred around the time of the Manchester Ritz double bill featuring Brenda Holloway and Kim Weston. I attended that event, and remember that the artists performed with the original Motown backing tracks.

I think a well known DJ was involved with the access to these tracks.

On the Sealing show (which I edited to remove chat, as I was inclined to do back then), 2 tracks with vocal were introduced to the show by, I believe, the aforementioned DJ.

" You're gonna love my baby" was a vocal take by Brenda Holloway. Listening to this tape, And I may be totally wrong here, it sounds to me that it is not a 1965 vocal, I.e. I'm suggesting that it was Brenda recorded at a later date! I.e many years after her Motown career.

Surely a legimate BH version would have been released on a Motown compilation by now.

Similarly, the "Atptb" track has a vocal by an artist that I do not recognise , certainly no Motown artist I know of. Again, was this vocal recorded after ,and away, from Motown?

Both tracks, I am certain are the original Motown band tracks....does anybody know anything about these two "mystery" Motown tracks.

Thank you.
