Aologies if it's been mentioned on here already, but Belgian collector and DJ Thierry Steuve has sadly died aged just 52.

I didn't know him, but he kindly supplied a mass of rare memorabilia for Keith Rylatt's new book about the Tamla Motown Appreciation Society – Hitsville!

I had asked him if he could supply a scan of one rare French Motown album cover and by return Thierry offered to scan almost everything in his collection relating to the launch of Tamla Motown in England and France.

Thierry was hoping to make it to the book launch in London – it would have been great to personally thank him.

He was only 52 actually. I've attended his funeral last Wednesday, it was very moving. R.I.P. Thierry, the Modfather of Belgium as he was nicknamed. You'll be forever in our hearts.
