Inspired by the 'overplayed oldies thread',and,IMHO the same old oldies played by some,but not all,at the recent St Ives re-union,I offer a selection of tunes that I would play at a St Ives/Fleet/Wirrina re-union;

1.Falballa-Magic Band

2.I Dont Know What Foot to Dance on-Kim Toliver

3.Seven The Loser-Eric Lomax

4.I got The Need-Spookey & Sue

5.A Gift Of Love-Ann Marie

6.If He Were Mine-Paula Durante

7.If You Cant Say Anything Nice-Gia Mateo

8.Do I-Halo's

9.Ice Man-Billy Watkins

10.Why Did You Leave Me Girl-Mad Dog & The Pups

11.One More Chance-The Patrick Bradley

12.Heartbeat-Bill Purcell

13.Oh Happy Day-Flame & King

14.Find My Way-Cameo

15.Do What You Feel-Rimshots

16.Center City-Fat Larry

17.Never Gonna Let You Go-Jobell

18.Happy-Velvet Hammer

19.Trypt On Love-Wakefield Sun

20.She Put The Hurt On Me-Trade Martin

21.Oh Lord Whats Happening-Kenny Smith

22.I Need Your Love-Chaumonts

23.Time Marches On-Lainie Hill

All of these were huge at one time yet are seldom (except for Flame & King) heard these days.

I would doubt whether anyone likes ALL of these tracks, but would hope most would enjoy over 60% of them........It what I would have spun anyway  .......(Though none are mega rare, on original vinyle of course, before that debate erupts  )

Go on then, give me a verbal kicking :P

Well Martin you asked for it.

all over played shite,

no seriously, there are a few gems in there and to be honest i think that is what a bit of imaginaton can do and having a belief in your own taste of music,

but like you said it wont be for everyone but the majority would definately be welcomed.

i aint got the balls to post a list up as i know it will stir someone up so fair play to you.
