I am offering a collection of rare photos of Ray Charles, the Raylettes, LC Cooke, and many more. This collection includes the rare contact sheet photos from an 1975 LA sickle cell fundraiser that featured Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, and many other celebrities. Only a few of these photos have surfaced on the Internet at the Ray Charles photo museum These are casual photos, taken by a private photographer, who was hired by Mabel John, one of the organizers of this famous event. There are also a series of rare photos of Ray Charles with various members of his entourage, including a never before seen photo of Ray Charles meeting with Norman Granz (Verve Records producer, and creator of Jazz at the Philharmonic). I am selling the whole collection as one Lot for the best offer.
