this is for a 10” original vintage 60s studio acetate from the estate of Don Davis and Groovesville Records. Hand typed labels, condition is VG/VG+. Light storage warp does not affect play, but would not agree with a heavy stylus weight. B side is blank. Sound is VG with light background noise, but the track is still powerful and crisp. Volume is a little quieter than a normal release 45 and would need to be turned up a little to match the volume of the stock 45.
The track in my opinion sounds a hair slower, with louder vocals and quieter backing track mix. Another version of this song exists on an acetate with different backing vocals saying “girl I really love you” over the intro. This version does not have that, however it can still be heard low in the mix. This version I think has less or different backing vocals as well, and just features Steve Calloway more prominently, and the group less. Sound file from actual record for sale just added below.
