Happy birthday Motown.

Thankyou for supplying so many memories to all of us on this site and wider world. If this label had never existed, God knows what dross we'd all be listening to today. I know there's hundreds of independent labels that sprung up with brilliant artists and tunes that are the backbone of our scene, but as i see it, imitation is the greatest form of flattery that this iconic label has, and will ever receive.

Tune in to any music station today, and I'm sure they'll all be paying their own tributes.
