Modern Soul & Two Step 45’s
Medlows - Love Pt. 1 - Midsong International / EX / OFFERS (Modern soul dancer of the highest quality, 1976 John Davis production. One of the rarest major label releases. Current Butch spin someone told me, and I have not seen/heard of other copies apart from this and my personal copy. Promo copy with date + small scribbling on label. I don’t think it passed the promo stage. Hard to price so taking offers, also open to serious trades.)
Memphis - Inside my love - West Coast / EX / £1000 (One of the best recordings ever IMO. Absolute modern soul/two step masterpiece with layer upon layer of quality. And after hundreds of listens it’s still as good.)
Essence of Love - I want to share my love with you - K-City / EX / £400 (Promo copy of this stunning modern soul dancer. Much rarer than their other dancer “Yes it’s you” and this was unlike that release never repressed. One side has two tiny tears.)

Great one out of Chicago, same label as Gloria Jay, Richard Starr etc. Filled with killers in different styles: “Hurry up on tomorrow”, their versions of Satagans “Lovers to friends”, and Ahead of Time’s “It ain’t fair” is straight slow group harmony fire. “Open soul” and “Let’s get down with the beat” amazing disco/soul dancers. Clean copy!)
Sonya Spence - Sings love - High Note / VG+/VG / £150 (With “Let love flow on”, the amazing soulful dancer with Sade-like vocals, before Sade! Jamaican original, full color cover and blue text gold label variation. Record basically EX with some light sleeve marks not affecting play.
