just to say a thank you On behalf of daves sons jack and Callum to the ones that attended dave’s funeral at ardsley crem yesterday ( Friday )
Dave ( whip or whipper as he liked to be called )was a massive northern soul lover all his adult life , well known on the circuit and will be missed by a lot , Always a laugh wherever we went souling or otherwise and we went Just about everywhere in the last 40 odd years so got to know loads of people , thanks for the private texts and messages and posts on this site .
the scene has lost another devoted lover of the music and great character , you will never be forgotten whipper as there's hundreds of records that will always remind me of you , dancing about clapping and singing your head off , I’ve got thousands of good memories mate which will always be with me . I can imagine you and big bub together now somewhere getting your records together to do a spot !
