DETROIT RARITY - Doni Burdick - Faith / New Rochelle

Taking reasonable offers for my copy of Doni Burdick - Faith / New Rochelle - SIR 6811/12.

This record is VG++, and has visual sleeve marks with one or two hairlines that DNAP. Label has some light wear, with pencil marks on the "New Rochelle" side. Both sides play through EX, with light crackle in quieter phrases. Really clean sounding copy.

This record hasn't turned up too much in recent years as far as I can see- "Faith" is a cover of the Melvin Davis track, using the same backing track (though there are some parts of Melvin's version that were clearly spliced out of the final track- You can especially hear this after the first chorus in Doni's version). Rare Earth have done a version of "New Rochelle", however, this (Doni's) version is stripped back, with a lack of the overdubbed horns, strings, and other instruments present in Rare Earths version.  I've posted sound clips of the actual record onto YouTube- I believe this is the first time a sound clip of the record has been uploaded online. An obscure rarity from Detroit that has barely seen the light of day.
