Yes it's correct. I was approached last year about interviewing him for a biography but I had too much on at the time - now too late unfortunately. He had a good innings, 80 I think. Here he is in the 60s with Frank Howard, and Charlie Fite of the Commanders. And yes, he was a drummer as well as a bass player (other talents too of course).
