The Club A Go Go, The Flamingo, Twisted Wheel, La Discotheque, Scene, King Mojo, Cavern, Dungeon etc etc. What was the one thing they all had in common?
Well, for starters they were all clubs that thrived in the sixties.
But the one thing they all had in common was the MUSIC!
Every weekend, thousands of teenagers throughout the UK would head for their ‘go to’ club to dance the night away to the latest sounds from iconic labels such as Motown, Stax, Atlantic, Chess and Sue.
Our ‘Simply Soulful’ show on Exile fm is hosting a special two hour special of your favourite sounds from those heady days.
