Sonny had 45's out on an Indiana label, a New Orleans label, a Houston label, his own labels and a Chicago label.

Yet, it seems, apart from the Skoop label (out of Santa Claus), he only cut tracks in New York.

In the 'big apple' he worked with the likes of Randal Stewart (lots of work for Old Town / Barry), Horace Ott, Detroit born Alvin Stewart (worked with the likes of Horace Ott & JJ Jackson), Robert Banks, Chris Towns & more.

Wonder who worked with him on his Peacock 45 ?

Anyone aware of who else he worked with in New York ?

Sonny wrote the songs that appeared on his initial single in 1957 and included them in his night club act live shows.

They must have grown in popularity with time as he cut them both & his 45 was released in May 1960.

Sonny has 31 songs registered with BMI -- unfortunately I can't find details of who cut many of them.
