This Is Soul Leaning To The Rare Side Indeed.

McClure, A One Time Member Of The Flamingos, Cut Some 6 Varyingly Good Solo Sides On Polydor Circa 1971-72 And Two With Edwin Birdsong - 1970. During This Time Period He Also Collaborated With Carl Spencer And Jimmy Radcliffe on songs For The Harlem Globetrotters Cartoon Series, And Songwriter Thomas Kaye For This Record. Mr. Kaye Had An Interesting Praxis Of Writing Songs About One-Armed/Eyed Characters Such As Is The Case In This Song, Featuring A One Armed Saxaphone Man, And The One-Eyed Thief In His "Funky Bottom Congregation" Song Cut By Radcliffe Some Three Years Earlier. (The One-Eyed Thief Also Makes A Return In Hoola Moola Man Too).
