Serena Johnson “All Work & No Play” (Big 2) VG+ £70 sold
Nice southern crossover. (X on labels & light label wear. Light wear, plays well)
John Bowie “I Never Felt So Lonely” (Chante) VG++ £600
Downbeat minor key 60s popcorn ballad, deep & atmospheric. (Rare in any condition, but this is sharp, not far from M-. Minor lift not affecting play)
Richard Smith “I Don’t Wanna Cry / Mama Cried” (Hi-Q) VG++ £200
Incredible sweet soul ballad, with a solid funk side. (Not far from M-)
The Topics “Booking Up Baby / Giving Up” (Mercury) VG+ £625
Midtempo 70s modern masterpiece, with a deep/sweet flip which may be the side for some. (Some very faint surface hairlines, closer to VG++, and with the usual bubbling to the labels)
The Lost Soul “A Secret of Mine / Mind’s Expressway” (Raven) VG++ £675 sold
Classic northern – and a killer windswept psych ballad on the flip. (A somewhat raw pressing, looks M- though, and is nice and loud. Northern side tracks a little off centre, does not seem affect play – I recorded it in full, as-is. The Mind’s Expressway side has a tiny label mark, possibly from sticker removal. Very minor lift visible only when the psych side is playing, possibly caused by the label’s raised ridge)
Van Jones & The Jays “Time Has Made A New Man Out Of Me / I Want To Groove You” (Silver Sound) strong VG £700
The gorgeous sweet side seems to be heavily in demand (this is the rarest version by far), although the crossover tune is equally strong. (Light marks & hairlines, plays great)
Sherry & The Inverts “I Was Made To Love You / I’m Lost” (Tower promo) VG+ £85
Beautiful midtempo crossover ballad from this excellent group. Uptempo flip.
Payment as friends & family or bank transfer
Postage: UK - £10 Special Delivery / Rest of the World - £12 Tracked & Signed-For
