2   Bill Eckstine – I Wonder Why (Nobody Loves Me) – Motown M1105 £150 long regarded as a bit of a crooner this guy made some great jazz / soul records & this is a real unexpected upbeat big voiced stormer from 1967, massive in the 90’s & still tough to find

3   Minnie Epperson – Grab Your Clothes (And Get On Out) – Peacock P1960 Ex £75 feint surface marks only plays superbly, great raw R & B dancer that still fills the floor

4   Ben E King – I Can’t Break The News To Myself b/w Goodnight My Love – Atco 45-6390 WDJ M- £100 uptempo big city soul dancer from 1965 backed with a big beat ballad gem, a great dancer that’s still as popular as ever, a near mint vinyl demo with very slight label aging only

5   Charles Mann – It’s All Over – ABC 11034 WDJ M- £75 mono & stereo sides of this double sided demo & classic Cleethorpes finisher that’s stood the test of time, mid-tempo perfection from 1973

6   Shep – Fool To Fool b/w Sitting In – TNT 282 M- £100 slight label fold / crease on left hand edge only otherwise a mint copy of this superb double sider from Shep Grant, drivin’ uptempo dancer & pleading mid-tempo flip, a great Tru-Glo-Town production
