2 Mitty Collier – Pain – Chess 1889 M- £75 raw pleading atmospheric mid-tempo R & B mover from this great singer & a tough label number

3 Combination Inc – I Got To Go – Stacey S2616 M- £80 Detroit group mover that had big plays in the 90’sw & was then overlooked, still sounds great & a lovely mint copy with only the faintest of sticker removal marks on the label that is just visible

4 Curtis Davis & The Arketts Crossfires Band – Tell Me – Ronnie Records RT101 M- £175 mint copy of this label rarity, great sparse production atmospheric mid-tempo mover with only the faintest of sticker removal marks on the label

5 The Dells – Thinkin’ About You – Cadet 5538 M- £80 vinyl issue with the faintest of sticker removal marks on the label, no tears, a Wilton winner in the 90’s & a superb mid-tempo dancer from the greatest of groups

6 Pearlean Gray & The Passengers – I Don’t Want To Cry – Green Sea Records 104 M- £125 seen listed at double, a lovely mint copy of this upbeat girlie version of the early Chuck Jackson classic

7 Sissie Houston – Bring Him Back – Congress CG268 WDJ M- £175 what a voice & the version of this atmospheric big production uptempo dancer from one of the greatest female backing singers, at her early best, apart from a sticker removal mark a mint vinyl demo

8 James Lewis And The Case Of Time – Manifesto – Legend L1014 Ex+ £225 slight label aging only vinyl M-, old Casino biggie that’s now a massive revived 45, seen at £300 recently

9 The Sapphires – Gotta Have Your Love – ABC Paramount 45-10639 M- £125 Philly group classic that’s stood the test of time, a mint vinyl copy Bell Sound stamped arranged & produced by two of the great names in the business Jerry Ross & Jimmy Wisner & nice flip Gee I’m Sorry Baby penned by Gamble & Huff

10 Don Thomas – Come On Train b/w Train Start Movin’ – Nuvj 1001 Ex+ £225 self-penned dancer that’s risen back to the popularity it had in the late 70’s, conservatively graded label wear & a faint sticker mark on label, vinyl M-, a great price for an in demand item - SOLD

11 The Volumes – I Got Love b/w Maintain Your Cool – Twirl 2016 M- £200 what a group and what a double sider, upbeat Detroit produced dancers co-penned & produced by Detroit royalty Duke Barney Browner & Harry Balk, faint sticker removal mark on label vinyl is mint as it’s a styrene copy with no hiss or cue burn

12 Jackie Wilson – It Only Happens When I Look At You – UK Brunswick Demo Ex £200 small sticker removal mark on label, vinyl has one scuff but plays superbly otherwise M- so priced accordingly, non US 45 LP only & a rare UK release for one of the best of his 70’s dancers released in 1977, same as Aretha Franklin’s version
