OK, so some more 60s R&B and soul music industry one-offs to go.

Here we have the management contract of R&B / soul singer Otis Clay with Phil Walden Artists and Promotions. Neither party should need much introduction really.

This is Clay’s four-year management contract, dated from 1967 to 1971. Covers the year of transition from One-der-ful to Atlantic (Dakar), including when he recorded "Baby Jane".

The contract, signed by Phil Walden and Otis Clay, is a 3 page document, and in very reasonable shape considering it’s nearly 60 years old. Rust stain as shown is due to a paper clip in storage, but doesn’t obscure any of the text. No tears or creases.

The drill: as this is a pretty unique piece of history and half the money being raised is going to a worthy cause, this will be an auction item. Opening at just £30 then let’s see where it goes. Will run things until Sunday 27th July midday, or will end early if an offer comes in that really can’t be refused.

PM/DM to bid please. Sorry, but UK buyers only please on this one.

50% of proceeds will go to the non-profit World Central Kitchen who are active in Gaza and other regions requiring emergency aid.
