Size (approx):

28cm x 16cm x 14cm (w/h/d)

Power: AC or DC mains only (200-250V). The ULL version operates from 100V AC or DC mains onlyWavebands:Two; LW (800 to 2000m), MW (200 to 570m)Controls:Left knob on/off/volume and the right knob for wave change. Big upper knob is a geared down tuning control, the outer skirt with indicator taking around five turns of the knob to complete the 180 degrees.Design:A lovely "compact" mains receiver made in two halves. The front in light cream bakelite whilst the back (two thirds width) in dark brown. Jazzy grills that go around the corners echo the art-deco theme.Date:June 1947, priced at £15 0s (plus purchase tax of £3 4s 6d).Manufacturer:Ferguson Radio Corp. Ltd.Comments:Gorgeous ! But this sample appears to be missing the cover that goes over the indicator lamp between the two lower knobs. I believe this is a red Perspex cover. The lower long wave is labelled "AIRCRAFT" at 900m. The Ferguson name is moulded in the front cabinet and is so elegant. "Trader" service sheet 820. The shape of the knobs don't help to grip a stiff wave change switch.Line up:12K8GT, 12K7GT, 12Q7GT, 35L6GT, 35Z4GT (Brimar in place)
