I'm not sure how many of you out there have heard much on the Forte Records label out of Kansas City, but I managed to come across a small group of 12-14 unplayed 45s from the label. Marva Whitney was on this label and a lot of other soul stuff.
It's one of those labels I'd love to see a compilation of. I did contact Ace Records and received a reply that this is a label they've been wanting to put something out for years but hadn't been able to finalize it.
Perhaps Tony Rounce could share some details on this label? There's very little information online. I did have a discography at one point but can't locate it.
