Just interested to know if Maurice Jackson who recorded "Lucky Fellow" is the same guy who was in the group The Independents and whose brother was Chuck Jackson(not the famous Wand genius) i know that the Jackson Brothers (of the Independents) were the younger brothers of civil rights activist Jesse Jackson, just wanted confirmation it is the same guy. Yes they're the same guy. The Independants had an album called Chuck, Helen, Eric, Maurice released in 1973. On this album there's a version of "Lucky Fellow".

I think the version on the album is far better than the one released on single by Maurice. The single was released twice on Candlelite and Lakeside.

Cheers soulmac, i've never even heard the LP version, i love the 45' i've got it on Lakeside, i believe thats the easier of the 2 labels to pick up, will definatly search out the album
