I can certainly hear "Shake It Up" by The Vibrations in "If Not For Love". Just listened to whole album today and it's very good.

The second series of The Gold on BBC1 is equally as good as the first. Probably the best series I've seen this year (along with Mob Land)

RIP Walter. Another one of greats has sadly left us. So many great songs. Unfortunately, most people only know It's A Love Thing and And The Beat Goes on, but there was so much more. I particularly like this Gary Taylor penned song from 1987.

Congrats to those who saw them live. I never got the chance. Their last visit to the UK was about 8 years ago.

Another season ends and bloody Gareth tops the league again, despite a slow start. I finish in a record 2nd place for me. Despite a slow start and a wobble towards the end I'm pleased with the progress I'm finally making after 20+ years of playing 😀.

It's all good fun and it was good to see 21 of us take part. Let's start again in two months time.

I used to hear it a lot at local mod / NS / Scooter events in Medway around 1983-5. It makes me cringe now.

Played out at Kent Soul Club on Friday night. It was first time I've heard it out loud and it sounded great.

Very sad. RIP Jim. I heard him play many good sets in modern rooms over the years. 

Some big teams could go out soon, which makes it interesting and I'm sure is not what UEFA intended. I still don't understand how they make the 8 fixtures fair for everyone.

I'm 4 episodes in and really enjoying it much more than I thought I would. I'm fascinated by Colin Farrell's performance.
