  2. Small selection of gorgeous tunes for you tonight As ever, sound files available on request. PM to ask any questions or reserve. Jackie Day – Before it’s too late – Modern 1028 M- £80 (The place to marvel at this pounding dancer is in the film short “The obsession that is Northern Soul 3” easily found on the tube and pure drama, very minor edge lift for a small portion of rotation) Mary Love – Lay this burden down – Modern 1029 M- £200 HOLD (Talk about suspense on a short intro, you know what’s coming but not what’s gonna hit you, whips you up and sets you down, again and again – FANTABULOUS) Reuben Howell – You can’t stop a man in love – Motown 1274 WD M- £125 HOLD (Stunning Muscle Shoals crossover direct from Motown and in top drawer condition, who would those two household names in the same credits, just a biro circle around flip title, no picture sleeve) Marjorie Black – One more hurt – Sue 132 M- £150 (Sneaking over the fence to be confronted by a pulsating horn laced stunner, superb femme vocals piercing the smoky atmosphere. Graced by royalty with Robert Bateman penning / producing this dancer from the never-ending Sue label) PayPal as friends or add 4% please Postage: £2.50 – 1st Class Signed For (Insures to £50, you take the risk for anything 45 over 50 by this method) £7.25 - Special Delivery (Fully insures all listed 45’s) Overseas on Request Cheers, Lee

  4. Just the one lonely little fella that needs taking into somebody else’s care….. PM to ask any questions or reserve. Terrible Tom – We were made for each other – Maverick 1001 M- £300 A Wigan favourite and why not, this up tempo stomper still fills the floor every time. I understand that it was thought to be a promo only 45 until a few years ago. Here is that elusive ISSUE copy and in great condition too. 5. As ever, sound files available on request. PM to ask any questions or reserve. Brice Coefield - Ain’t that right - Omen 10 Ex+ £350 ON HOLD (Old school Northern and Mecca favourite. Brice’s long career straddled numerous groups from 55 to the late 60’s, but he only enjoyed 2 solo outings, this being the one that matters, etching himself in the annals of our scene’s history. Not surprising when you learn this bold and full of brass mid-tempo dancer was influenced by the pen of Gary and Chester Pipkin and the arranging skills of one world class HB Barnum. Superb and on a great big green stock copy too. The scanner exposes slight grubbiness to the label, but in the hand its a vibrant green and hard to detect any blemishes) Brice Coefield - Ain't that right.mp3 PayPal as friends or add 4% please Postage: £7.25 - Special Delivery (Fully insures) Overseas on Request Cheers, Lee

  7. Just the one for the noo, please read description PM to ask any questions or reserve. Steinways – You’ve been leading me on / My hearts’ not in it anymore – Oliver 2002 Vg+ £175 (This superb double sider has been at the peak of its game for more years than we all care to remember, absolute rock solid dancers on both sides. The 45 suffers from use but that’s mainly a visual issue, wear to both labels and some visible marks on the vinyl but apart from some light noise on intro plays loud and clear, great for the play room) Steinways - You've been leading me on.mp3 Steinways - My hearts not in it anymore.mp3 PayPal as friends or add 4% please Postage: £2.50 – 1st Class Signed For (Insures to £50, you take the risk by this method) £7.25 - Special Delivery (Fully insures 45) Overseas on Request Cheers, Lee

  20. Here’s a rare one up for offers….. Please message any questions or offers, I will close on Monday 13 February 2017, at 8pm, but it’s fair to say I may accept an offer I can’t refuse in between! Sandi & Matues – The World – Matues 100 DJ Ex+ Very, very rare sister soul/funk, brilliantly crafted subtle lead vocal and edgy backing girl, bit of a red riding hood versus big bad wolf thing going on with catchy jazz funk rollercoaster ride blowin' behind, superb, and so punchy its gonna knock the stuffing out of those dancers that try to keep up! I grade this rarity conservatively, which for a long while only resided with Keb Darge. Only 4 show up on Popsike, 3 DJ copies and 1 stock. Graded Ex+, plays beautifully, no writing on label, just very feint ring wear. The only thing I need to add is this small private Florida press has a tight centre so a selection of spindles may be required! Minimum offer £2500 for this stunner. Green labels, mmm….. just something about them and not enough around! Short sound clip here: Sandi & Matues.mp3 PayPal by gift or add 4% please, bank transfer on request. Cheers, Lee

Emanuel Laskey – Just the way (I want her to be) / Right on (wit’ it) – Music Now 2880 M- £150 HOLD (Stunning double sider from one of the biggest artists on the scene, crossover gem backed with a superb funk edge) Crystals featuring La La Brooks – I got a man / Are you trying to get rid of me baby – United Artists 994 M- £400 (Fabulous double sider, and there’s a bit of menace on both sides from this normally passive Spector outfit. I remember having to work hard to sell a demo 10 years ago, how times have changed with the demo flying out for 275-300. So what for a rare as hen’s teeth black stock copy, virtually unheard of? Don’t worry about the label scans, they show up all the white bits under intense light, to the naked eye the labels are gorgeous and it plays smooth as silk. Rex Garvin & Mighty Cravers – You don’t need no help – WSJ 103 Ex+ £150 SOLD (From what I can work out this was played by Mr Searling at Wigan, remained hard to find in original Bell Sound stamped ever since, doesn’t often come to the market place and when it does, not in such great condition, marked down from M- due to a couple of very minor lines, but plays M-) PayPal as friends or add 4% please Postage: £2.50 - 1st Class Signed For £7.25 - Special Delivery (My preferred option, fully insured for 45’s over £50 unless you take responsibility?) Overseas on Request Cheers, Lee
