  1. Well priced classic oldies tend to go really quickly, unknown or out of favor ones not as easy.

Sell a few that don't matter as much to see how it goes. You could replace them with reissues if you still want them on vinyl or replace on cd

If you used paypal then get a refund through them as it's a fake and you should be covered

Sounds like seller knew it was dodgy then if not making it clear. Still worth dropping paypal a message to try

‘Low rider sounds’… Manship used this term a year or two ago…I thought it referred to weak B sides that wouldn’t be acceptable at a public venue, but I’m still none the wiser.

Low rider refers to.the modified car scene in South America where they alter the suspension so the car goes lower.

The music is often slower or the b sides of songs known on northern scene

There are a few documentaries on YouTube

  5. If you want it next day pay for next day delivery.

Makes me laugh when people say I've been looking for a copy of a record for years then moan about it taking a few extra days to get there

  6. Fredrick hymes was said to have been booted but no one has ever come up with a copy for the price of a bootleg.

It is a modern version of the same song released by tonny hymes which is a slow version.

As said above all came from brooklyn born in the USA.

Rumours of a yellow label release also but this was most probably down to a poor quality scan or photo

I doubt Dena Barnes had any royalties coming her way unless she was one of the writers which if memory serves she wasn't, same for the majority of the artists concerned.   I've been in touch with a faire few artists who were unaware of their popularity, they are now though and that is enough for most.

Wasn't it duke browner who wrote this?

I think the hyperbole can have a reverse effect to the one seller intended when you come to realise every record they are selling "has plenty of legs left, under the radar, played by those in the know" etc then when you listen to the you tube link most to my untrained ears are pretty average at best.

Are people taken in by it I'm not so sure, yes it might make you look and listen but if you're prepared to put aside what you are hearing and buy just because someone invokes a fear of missing out on the next big thing you probably shouldn't be buying records in the first place.

My memory might be playing tricks on me and I may be wrong about this but there does seem to have been an increase of tunes being relisted as "reduced" due I guess to as you say over inflated prices on first posting, maybe the answer to your question lies there.

They are all in demand under the radar going to go big anytime now when they are selling them

When you sell to a dealer they are unpopular / crap  / unknown/ failed  plays though 😉🤔😂

Just  forget about JM prices , His auctions are not for the true collector.

Theres quite a few genuine dealers and collectors who sell and trade

at realistic prices.! It’s great when you get a want at a good deal for you

There's less and less good dealers out there, now with ebay sellers and cheque book dj buyers prices and conditions are being exagerated

It used to be good but 2 from the last 4 purchases I've made have gone back or overgraded
