Archie Bell And The Drells
Always liked the midtempo 'You never know what's on a woman's mind' on Glades, since I first heard it on that quality Robin Salter tape that did the rounds about 25 years ago.

Was sure it was listed as unreleased on that Kent CD of RCA tracks. Wasn't aware of any LP release and sounds later from memory than his Epic stuff?

Anyone Been To Stax Museum?
Was there this April. No problems whatsoever. Parked around the back. Security present. Felt totally safe, and locals were not savages. Enjoy Memphis, it's just fab. Usual sensible precautions prevail but it's such a fantastic city, not that attractive perhaps in places, but rich in history. The Soulsville Foundation are also doing amazing stuff for the local community,

Wanted: 8 Inch Record Sleeve
Think covers 33 do 10" but not 8" without checking, unless they started doing them. I've got 8" and 10" acetates, I cut down the 10" and Sellotape the edges. Still ends up a DIY job!

Johnny Taylor.. Blues In The Night.. Otis Redding Flip
I've got the French Stax JT EP. It has same front pic sleeve as the JT reissue / boot whatever. The Stax French JT is a bit low fi (well more just low volume) compared to the French Atlantic one.
