  4. I'm proud to announce my latest ebay auction, more than 225 listings of rare 45s. As usual, every single listing has a soundclip (some have two) and every listing starts under $10 with no reserves! There are some really great records up for grabs, and I think it may be one of my best lists to date. This list focuses on northern soul, funk, modern, latin, r&b and a few other tidbits. Some of the highlights include (but are certainly not limited to): Frank Hutson on Goodie Train Apollos Show Band New Yorkers on Tac-Ful Prince Phillip Mitchell - I'm So Happy Marty Lewis on Big Deal Jackson Sisters - Miracles Howard Wales on Costal Mac Davis - I'm Just In Love Palmer James on Get Down Payne Brothers on Laughing Star Rideout on Hot Licks Love Co Inc on Demons Claude Baby Huey- Drifting Rhonda Davis on Duke Jesse Gomez on Mankind Darondo Pulliam on Ocampo Emulations on Emulate Page Three on Tenacious You can view all the listings at this link: https://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZkidinquisitive As I have sometimes done in the past, I am offering free shipping for everyone who wins three or more 45s (for packages that have to go express mail I will cover half the cost, ie $13). Also, I'd like to plug a new soul mix up on my blog, soulpersuasion.blogspot.com. Here's the tracklisting: The Quintessents - Movin' On (Vibra) Claude "Baby" Huey - Drifting (M.I.O.B.) The Four Sonics Plus One - Tell Me You're Mine (Sepia) The Invincibles - It's That Love Of Mine (WB) Othello Robertson - So In Luv (Baby Luv) Ethics - Look At Me Now (Vent) The Ballads - I Can't See Your Love (Wee) Bobby McNutt - I'm Gettin' Ready (Roulette) Wilson Love - Funny Money (Natural Soul) The Topics - Try A Little Love (Heavy Duty) Royal Jesters - My Kind Of Woman (Optimum) Bobby Sansom - Don't Leave (Sublime) Cicero Blake - You're Gonna Be Sorry (Mar-V-Lus) Billy McGregor - Mr. Shy (Flash) Tenison Stephens - Where Would You Be (Aries) The Brother's Two - Hoping (Jonah) Brothers Of Soul - Come On Back (Boo) The Cheers - Take Me To Paradise (Okeh) Chi-Lites - The Twelfth Of Never (Brunswick)
  5. I sold a VG+ copy for a little over $800 a few months ago, on ebay.
  6. This has sold for more than $1,000 at least a couple times this year so saying it was "never" an $800 record is objectively not true. Anyway, I figured this might be a hard sell with the currency devaluation and the overall economic picture. On the other hand, a VG- copy sold for close to $400 on ebay the other day, so I felt $800 for a perfect copy was not too out of line. Will move this to ebay in a couple months and let the invisible hand sort it all out. In the meantime, if I see you guys trying to sell records for too much I'll be sure to point it out publicly as you've been gracious enough to do for me.
  7. No takers so far? I'd drop down to $750 but that's the lowest I'm willing to go.
  8. The New Yorkers - Don't Want To Be Your Fool b/w You Should Have Told Me, Tac-Ful 001, NM, $800 USD Shipping to outside the U.S. will be $26 for express mail with tracking. This is my only copy. The record looks perfect/unplayed.
  9. Check out mp3s and photos of five 45s that have been getting spins around my house lately: soulpersuasion.blogspot.com
  10. Ending in just a few hours! Lots of stuff still at bargain prices too.
  11. As a way to thank my repeat customers and message board friends I am offering free shipping to anywhere in the world if you win three or more 45s in my current auction list, ending this Wednesday (for an express mail package I will cover half the cost).
  12. Ending in a couple days from now! Lots of stuff being slept on it seems. Modern soul folks check out that Vernon Steve Weakley, could go cheap...
  13. Hi folks, I have more than 200 45s up for sale right now, covering northern soul, funk, modern, latin, and a little bit of psych. Every single listing has a soundclip, and as usual all the listings start at $9.99 or lower with no reserves. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say there are some truly rare and excellent records in this batch, so please take a few moments to have a look. To see the auctions please click on this link: https://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZkidinquisitive
  14. Some of these are still hanging around. I will offer a 10 percent discount for any of the buy-it-nows for anyone who reads this board. Just send me a message thru ebay saying you saw this message and I'll give the discount on the invoice after you've made the purchase.
  15. Put some random bits up for a set price today. Also, a couple garage, doo wop and blues rarities. https://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZkidinquisitive
  16. By the way, if you're looking for bargains please direct your attention to that Peaches on Bump's. The last time I checked it was at about $13. This title is listed on Manship's site at £200.
  17. These start ending at 9:30 a.m. west coast time, one hour from this posting. Here is the link again https://search.ebay.com/_W0QQdfspZ32QQfsooZ...itiveQQsbrsrtZd
  18. IMPORTANT: As a thank you to all my message board customers I am offering free shipping to anywhere in the world if you win three or more 45s in my current auction list, ending this Thursday. See post above for the link. At the conclusion of the auctions just let me know you saw this announcement if you have not bought from me previously.
  19. Thanks for the info Ian! Anyone have a guess at a value?
  20. One gone, one still up for grabs.
  21. Picked this up on 45 today not really knowing what to expect, but what a great modern soul tune! Just wondering, does this get played at nights over there ever (I'm in the US so wouldn't have any way of knowing) and is the 45 in demand at all? I'm not really seeing any copies for sale anywhere on the web, which seems kind of suprising. Did this get a promo only release on 45?
  22. I have two NM copies of Buddy Miles & Calif. Raisins What Does It Take (To Win Your Love) b/w I Got You (I Feel Good) on Profile. This is on purple vinyl and comes with the thick plastic sleeve with sticker if you care about that sort of thing. Asking £60 ($120) per copy. Shipping is $6 outside US, or $3 within US. Also, check my posting in the ebay sales section as I have more than 200 45s up for auction at the moment.
  23. I have more than 200 45s up for sale right now, covering northern, funk, modern, latin, gospel, girl group, mod, garage and rockabilly. Every single listing has a soundclip. All but one of the listings start at $9.99 or lower. I am very excited to be presenting this batch as there is some very exciting music here, some of which has probably never appeared on ebay before. To see the auctions please click on this link: https://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZkidinquisitive
  24. It would have been ebay that wiped the auction. If the seller ended it there would still be a record of it, it would just say the item was ended early because it's no longer for sale. The only way it can be wiped clean like that is if ebay does an administrative cancellation. Most likely because of a technicality like the seller saying he won't take paypal. Or a hijacked account could have started bidding on the item and ebay catches on to that in time and cancels it.
  25. You're right about Haim's, I just looked at that again on popsike and it was relatively clean. Faulty memory on my part. Most of the Music City stuff was clean as a whistle but there were a few things that had water damage. Deloris Ealy on Big Vick Hammond also comes to mind. Not sure who might still have Diabolics. Maybe try Barry Wickham?
